Teresa and her kittens were found on the streets of Rialto and taken to a high-kill shelter where their lives were soon in jeopardy; they were taken into Rescue House foster care where Teresa was able to get enough nourishment and TLC for herself while raising her kittens until they were independent.

Teresa is an affectionate girl who is happiest when she is with her people; she is very vocal and will nicely ask for pets and chin scritches! Although Teresa will gladly allow you to pick her up and hold her, she prefers to sit on your lap while you watch TV or curl up next to you at bed time. If a lap is unavailable, she can often be found napping in the bathroom sinks! When she’s feeling active, Teresa loves to pounce on toy mice and chase feathery wand toys—she has also been known to "fetch" small toys. Watching birds and bugs (aka Kitty TV) out a cozy window is another of her favorite pastimes. Teresa has taken a strong liking to her canned food and is always eager for dinnertime; an occasional treat is nice, too, and she will purr loudly to show her gratitude (and hope you’ll give her another).

Teresa loves her people so much that she would prefer to have them all to herself; other cats and dogs are not really to her taste and she would be happiest as your one-and-only love. She’d also really like if someone’s home a good amount of time each day. Teresa has done well interacting with older children though she can get intimidated by those who are louder and rambunctious.

After enduring many hardships and setting aside time for herself to raise her kittens, Teresa is looking forward to a permanent, loving home where she can be pampered and adored while she shows her gratitude. Will you be her new forever family?
