Chopper's Story...
The term "Gentle Giant" is often used inappropriately to describe some dogs. That's not the case for Chopper, our 100 lb. Black Lab. He is the epitome of a "Gentle Giant". Chopper loves humans, other dogs (both male and female, small and large). He is wonderful with children and cats. He, unfortunately, just lost his 'forever home’ at 8 yrs. of age thru no fault of his own. He's very playful and active with our other fosters and has never shown any type of aggression. Chopper is such an exceptional dog with so much love and loyalty to give to his humans. Is your family worthy of a dog like Chopper? He is leash, crate, and house trained. Choppy must have a tall, secure fence. Please no children under 6 due to Chopper's large size.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chopper, a Cross Roads Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Cross Roads, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Cross Roads.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cross Roads already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cross Roads breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cross Roads paves the way for another one to be saved.
