My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This lovely girl is Co Co Manhattan, and she is a beautiful Chocolate girl. She is a big "full-figured" at this time as she was free fed a very poor quality food. Co Co M was surrendered to the shelter in Manhattan, KS after her owners were told by the landlord they could only have one dog. She was originally adopted from Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka KS when she was 1 yr old.
Co Co M has been to the vet and had everything checked, vaccines updated, and heartworm tested negative and is on prevention, and she is spayed. She is fine with other dogs and cats. She loves to go for walks, run and play in the backyard, and then cuddle on the couch with us, and then head off to snuggle down in bed under the blankets. Co Co M is house trained as well, although we always do caution that when moving to a new home, always treat your new dog the first few days, like a brand new puppy who needs to learn the ropes. Show them the door to go to when needing to go out, take them out frequently and reinforce good outside bathroom habits. Co Co M was nervous at first when joining us as I am sure it was terrifying to have a home with people for 4 years and then to be dumped at a shelter. It only took a couple of hours though and she was settling down. After the first day, she relaxed and has been a very easy happy foster girl. She is losing weight and feeling good.
we would like a Fenced Yard for Co Co M as she enjoys going outside and running around not that she is a bit lighter weight!
Co Co Manhattan's adoption fee is $200.00
MPMR, Inc requires all of our dogs to be maintained on Heartworm prevention and vaccinations in accordance with your veterinarian's protocol and recommendations.
