My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eddy is a prince! To know him is to love him . . . and is he gorgeous or what?! Born in 2007, Eddy is 9-years young and weighs about 25 lbs. He is housebroken, loves being outdoors, walks well on a leash, and is very gentle. Unfortunately a life of abuse has left Eddie an anxious and nervous boy. He calms easily with gentle touch and reassuring words in a calm quiet tone. Eddy is a Velcro dog who adores his person and follows them everywhere. He does not like to be left alone. It would be best if Eddy could be in a home with other dogs so he would never be alone and could learn how to relax and enjoy being a beloved family pet. He gets along well with all other dogs and seems to have a soft spot for females in particular. Because of his abusive past it will take an understanding adoptive family who is willing to be patient with Eddy and allow him the time he needs to earn their trust. It is helpful to Eddy when you talk to him before reaching for him or picking him up. If he understands your intentions he enjoys being petted and held. He would love nothing more than a forever home where he is cherished and appreciated for the wonderful dog that he is.
