How beautiful these sisters are! Bella Marie and August are 2 year old mixes of Fox Hound and Beagle. They weigh about 35 lbs., and their eyes may be responsible for many of those pounds! They are beautiful, indeed, the kind you could lose yourself in if you look too deeply. In fact, their foster says that Bella has 'Bette Davis eyes.' (You may be too young to understand that. Don't worry, though, it's a great compliment!) Both girls have short coats, Bella's being black and tan; and August's more of a tri color of black, tan, and white. And, of course, we can't forget their long and silky ears! They walk well on a lead, and play very well with other dogs. Perhaps more important than any other thing their foster notes about these girls is their great sweetness, and the gentleness of their spirits. Bella Marie and August have so much in common, and they have been together for so long, we would love to see them adopted together, if possible. (posted 9/5/16, ME, N/A)
