Sunny*'s Story...
Sunny is a recently rescued kitten who gave us a scare as we discovered him playfully frolicking in the street amidst oncoming cars! Luckily we snatched him right up and brought him in. Sunny is male and appears to be between 8-10 months old. He seems to have previously been owned due to his little blue collar and his sweet affectionate nature, but he has no microchip to locate previous owners and thus needs to be re-homed. He loves attention, rubs, and is very easy to handle. He is also very playful and highly active. He enjoys playing with toy balls with bells. Compatibility with other cats and dogs is unknown.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sunny*, a Brooklyn American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
