found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
A little over a year ago, a litter of puppies were found living with their parents in a field. The mom was a petite Beagle/Shepherd mix and dad was a handsome Chinese Shar Pei mix! A rescuer was able to catch and bring all the pups, plus dad into safety, while mom was too scared to be caught. Months later, the same person found another puppy in the same spot who ended up being a littermate to the puppies she found earlier! That was Leroy. Sad little Leroy lived outside where his only friends were an old empty can of tuna and a broken flip flop. He stayed in a foster home for 6 months where they showed Leroy how to love, to be loved, and most importantly, how to be a family member! He is a lower energy guy looking for a low energy household to match. While he does love to play with other dogs while outside, he would much rather be taking a nap inside on the couch. He loves the company of other dogs, as they have helped teach him how to be a dog. Because of this, Leroy requires another pup in his forever home. He's met both cats and birds as well! He doesn't mind the cats, and is very watchful of the birds, curious as to what they are! Leroy does require a physical above ground fenced in yard to keep him safe. While Leroy isn't much of a cuddler, he's always by his people's side, listening for his next set of directions; he aims to please! If you think you can handle staring at his cute face with his tiny little ears for the rest of his life, apply online today to make Leroy a part of your family!

All of our dogs come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. Please note that our pets come from shelters, so we CANNOT guarantee age, breed, mix of breeds, or adult size.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: http://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home.
An application does not obligate you to adopt, and can be transferred to any pet. You will receive an automated confirmation once your application is successfully submitted. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the dog you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call ASAP. If you would like to transfer your application to a different pet, please email your confirmation number to email@example.com
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where dogs can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting a dog in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal. Please note that we do not perform same-day adoptions.
Thanks so much for caring about a needy animal!
