I am housetrained, good with kids, and good with small animals.

Zuzu's Story...
Zuzu was rescued by Empty Cages Collective after being dumped in a kill shelter by his former guardian due to lack of time. He came to us uncertain and timid, and not too thrilled about the change of enclosure. After a few days under the care of our volunteers, Zuzu in his own wise-man-tactics decided that he does indeed like the new place, and allowed us to groom him, and let him know daily how awesome he is. He now rules the small animal room at our Brooklyn rescue center, chatting away with other animals, and letting them know just what to do and how to do it.
This stunner will flat out pose for pictures, and make any Instagram user insta-famous! There is just no denying Zuzu's charms!

Zuzu is about 2 years old, intact, all black Peruvian guinea pig.

If interested in adopting, please contact Empty Cages Collective- adopt@emptycagescollective.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zuzu, a Brooklyn Guinea Pig was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Guinea Pig for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Guinea Pig from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Guinea Pig breeders who help with Guinea Pig rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
