Dallas's Story...

Dallas has figured out “how to win friends and influence people”: 1) look adorable i 2) get bouncy with happiness on a walk 3) go potty right away 4) lean in close to your person to watch the world go by 5) take treats gently 6) never stop wagging your tail. This little tootsie roll of a boy had a family and a life he loved before being surrendered to a high kill shelter so had a lot of adjusting to do. Fun and friendly he’s looking for a new lap to settle into, and a new family to love and play with.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dallas, a Ridgefield Dachshund/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Ridgefield, or seeking a Dachshund/American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Ridgefield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgefield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgefield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgefield paves the way for another one to be saved.
