Polsom's Story...
Meet Polsom, a year old, forty pound, Shepherd/Shiba Inu mix rescued from a shelter in Kentucky, where he was picked up as a stray. We can't fathom why no one has claimed this precious guy as he's upbeat, friendly, and knows some basic commands. Polsom tested well with other cats and dogs but has a tendency to jump when he gets excited so a family without small kids may be in order.

If you would like to meet Josephine, please go to www.rescueahart.org and fill out an online adoption application or email doghart@gmail.com. Once an application is submitted you should receive a "thank you" page immediately afterwards.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polsom, a Cincinnati Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
