Ridge's Story...
While we were helping out in Baton Rouge and Livingston we picked up a few hitch hikers along the way ! Livvy and her 5 pups were brought to Livingston while we were helping out and we thought it would be best to take them in . Livvy is a 2-3 yr old Shepherd mix of some sort and her puppies appear to be 8-9 week old Shepherd/husky mixes. The woman who helped this girl before the storm found her and her puppies while she was helping a great Dane in need. She was unable to keep this momma and her pups with all she had on her plate. We are accepting applications at this time on Livvy and her 5 puppies and they will be ready for adoption within the next 2 weeks ! For more information on Livvy and her puppies please contact the shelter at 985-783-5010 or you can fill out an application online at http://www.stcharlesparish-la.gov/…/adoption-volunteering-a…

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ridge, a Luling Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Luling, or seeking a Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Luling.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Luling already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Luling breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Husky/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Luling paves the way for another one to be saved.
