Winnie's Story...
Name: Winnie
Breed: Siberian Husky mix
Gender: female
Age: 7 years
Cat: unknown
Dogs: so-so
Kids: older

Do you love affection and cuddles? Do you have room on your couch? Then please consider Winnie! Winnie loves nothing more than to lay on the couch with her human and watch a movie while being petted. She loves humans so much that she would prefer to be the only pet in the house so that she receives undivided attention. Winnie does get along ok with most dogs, but should not be left unsupervised while playing with them. She needs a proper introduction to new friends. She has never met a cat, and given the Siberian Husky prey drive, it is not recommended that she live with a cat. Winnie may be estimated at 7 years old, but she has quite a bit of energy. She knocks over small children accidentally and so should not be with children under 8 years old. Winnie is spayed and her DAPPV and Bordatella vaccinations are up to date. Winnie is crate trained at night at the foot of her foster mom’s bed with other dogs in the room and is quiet all night. Winnie is located in Belleville, ON and in lieu of an adoption fee, a donation is appreciated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Tweed Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Tweed, or seeking a Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Tweed.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tweed already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tweed breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tweed paves the way for another one to be saved.
