Gypsy is a 2 year old, female fawn and white pit bull that weighs 45 pounds.  Gypsy was found as a stray and ended up in Gwinnett County Animal Control on January 30, 2016.  She was spayed on February 15, 2016 and adopted by a guy while at the shelter.  She spent most of her time in a garage and the guy ended up in jail.  His girlfriend gave her away to another family in Stone Mountain, GA whose number is now disconnected.  She either was passed on to a 3rd family or dumped after this family, as poor little Gypsy found herself wandering the streets of Roswell, GA on August 9, 2016, homeless again.  Her microchip tracked her back to her original owners girlfriend who did not want her back and her new owners were never located.  The family that found Gypsy approached FTTF to assist in helping her find a forever home so that she will be safe and loved forever!

Gypsy is just the sweetest girl with a fun playful personality.  She wants to play and has a typical pittie loving attitude.  She gets excited when she meets new people. We are working on the jumping! After a good play romp she is fine with lounging around.  She is a smart dog and enjoys learning. She knows sit and come and is working on basic training.  She walks well on a leash and would make a great exercise partner.  She stays right by your side, even when off leash and has great recall.  She is housebroken, crate trained and is not destructive.  She will stand at the door to let you know she needs to go outside.  Her personality is more dominant than submissive and she does well with other dogs that are medium to large in size.  No small dogs for this girl, she is too interested in them!  She has not met a cat yet so we are not sure how she would do with them.  Gypsy enjoys a good bath and rides well in the car.  She needs to be fed separately from other dogs, not people, as she does have some food aggression issues with other dogs in the house. We are working on this!  Cuddling up with her foster mom is one of her favorite things to do, along with playing with the 4 other dogs in her foster home! Despite people letting her down in the past, she has been very resilient and forgiving and wants nothing more than to be with her people.  She also does well with children and would make a wonderful family dog.

Gypsy is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, microchipped and is on monthly preventatives.  Her adoption fee is $195.00.  If you are interested in meeting learning more about or adopting Gypsy please visit our website www.savingpitbulls.org for more information or to complete an adoption application.  She is in a foster home in Roswell, GA.
