Finn's Story...
Is there anything better in the world than a good, long roll in the grass?! I don’t think so! Hi there, my name is Finn. I arrived as a stray in July and am estimated to be a 3 year old American Staffordshire Terrier mix. I have a condition called hypothyroidism so I need to take a pill twice a day… no big deal. I enjoy being a silly guy, and love to make friends with people! I thoroughly enjoy time spent on a couch, as long as I don’t have to share the couch with my big-headed brother “Huck”. Huck and I arrived together, and live in separate kennels but play together when we are outside. We have a bit of a ‘love/hate’ relationship. I do love him (don’t let him know I said that!) but I get mad at him if he comes too close to my toys... I don’t like to share. We are keeping our furry little toes crossed that someone who has experience with bully breeds will fall in love with us both, and want to add us to their family. We realize that is a lot to ask of someone so we understand we may find homes separately.

Please check with your homeowners insurance before adopting a ‘bully breed’ such as an American Staffordshire Terrier. Some silly insurance companies buy into the media hype about us dogs being bad. Apparently they have never experienced a sloppy happy Am.Staff kiss!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Finn, a Menomonie American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Menomonie, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Menomonie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Menomonie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Menomonie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Menomonie paves the way for another one to be saved.
