"FLIRT"

Lab/Pibble mix
Spayed Female
approx. 2 1/2 years old
approx. 35 pounds
average energy level
House Broken and Crate Trained
kid friendly - ages 5+
cat friendly (she avoids them after being swatted in the face by our resident cat Oliver...lol!)
Travels Beautiful, a lady on the leash and is wicked smart - knows basic commands and tricks (sit, down, roll over, high five and she is still learning...we are working on "sit pretty"!).
Loves to go for walks/hikes and cuddle on the couch
Dog Friendly - aside from active group settings such as dog parks - she does best in relaxed, controlled settings since she can have alpha--female tendencies at times with other dogs - she also has some resource guarding with food with other dogs only so will need to be separated or crated at feeding time - other than these two manageable quirks Flirt is one of the most awesome dogs you will ever know and would do well in any type of home that is willing to love her. :) She currently lives in our home, sleeps in a bed with 4 other dogs and 2 cats, among our "pack" and fits right in.

Flirt was rescued in her final half hour from a high kill facility after being picked up as an unclaimed stray by animal control. We are unsure how she may have lost her eye or if she was born without it but we do know it does not disable her in any way (but it sure is funny playing fetch with her...) and that it makes her SUPER cute and makes her look like she winking at you (hence her name)! She is a real life emoji! We love this dog and feel she is too awesome to stick around here where she is taking up a space for us to welcome another baby like her in need. Please consider Flirt...you won't regret it. ;- )
