Fondly named "Bruce" after the shark in Finding Nemo by our primary vet clinic! How cute is that?! It's perfect.
approx. 3 years old
approx. 70 pounds
Average yet Mellow Energy Level - Laid Back
dog friendly but does at time show alpha male tendencies
crate trained / house broken / great traveler /gentleman on a leash / "sits" on command /
Bruce does not like the lawn mower
BRUCE was surrendered to us by someone who claimed to have found him as a stray but were unable to keep him. He came to us nothing but skin and bones, would duck and lie flat to the ground if you went to pet him (and still does but he has began to overcome this fear that someone might hit him) and infested with heartworms - he was not micro-chipped. We have since put some weight and muscle back onto this now stocky, handsome boy and he has been treated for his heartworms using a series of injections every few weeks till the treatment was completed.
Bruce enjoys leisurely walks but more so enjoys being where it's cool in the house at your feet. He is quick to learn and takes very well to correction, but in all honesty there isn't much we have to correct him about. He is a very sweet soul that, for the right person/family will be the perfect dog!
We recommend that Bruce go to a home as the only dog if this is your first Pibble or to a home with an experienced large dog or Pibble owner. We love Bruce and would love to see him in a home where he can get all the love and attention he seeks and deserves.
