Sierra's Story...
My name is Sierra - I think it's after the mountain range in California that is curious and a beauty! I am a 1 year old and 9 lb chihuahua terrier mix looking for a new family.

Why did I say I'm curious? Well because I am! I can't ask questions in Hooman-ese, so I instead spend my time checking things out - and I always check in for pets and snuggles. I don't know about being held - that's a little odd for me and I usually shake while you do so. But the more exposure I have to everything, including being held, the more comfortable I am. So please be patient and help me explore all kinds of new things! I'm fearful of cats - I experienced one on a walk the other day and I could not get a bigger berth around us! I LOVE walks - it's part of my curiousity streak. So please be prepared to take me for lots of those.

I need more confidence. I'd love to be adopted by a family that can help me explore this! I'm spayed, current on shots, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm tested, and eager to go! My fees are $300 - if you wish to submit an application, there's one online! CaliCan will then get in touch with you to arrange a follow-up phone call and go over their processes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sierra, a Edmonton Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
