Facts about Chaz

  • Breed: Australian Kelpie/Labrador Retriever Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Chaz is a short coat, small to medium sized (38lb) cutey patooty!!! He was found with his 3 brothers on the side of the road scavenging for food. Chaz is a bit on the higher energy side and loves to run and play. He is house trained but has been in the kennel so may need a refresher. He uses a doggy door and sleeps through the night without a problem. He also has no problem being crated. He loves to snuggle and to chew on things. He is happiest with chew toys, rawhides or old sheets and blankets to chew on. He gets along with all the other rescue dogs! Chaz needs some training and he is so eager to please if just given the time. Please consider adding this sweet boy to your family where he will never be dumped on the side of the road again.

Please note that we are a TX based dog rescue, so all of our dogs are located in TX until we have an approved adoption application. We work with Rescue Roadtrips, Safe K9 Transports, and Pet LLC to transport our dogs to their new forever homes upon approval of adoption application. The reason we do this is because TX is a high-kill state and we are over populated with unwanted, but wonderful and loving dogs, and finding homes outside of TX helps us to save more lives. Our adoption fee for out of state is $355 ($170 adoption and $185 transportation).
Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

About Katie's Roadside Rescue - Olympia Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

All dogs in KRR will be fully vetted and microchipped prior to adoption. Because of KRR's mission, all dogs must come back to this rescue so they never have to worry about being dumped along the road again.

Katie's Roadside Rescue is a no kill 501c3 non-profit organization with the mission of rescuing dogs left to fend for themselves. If they cannot be caught, at a minimum food and water is left for them. KRR currently does not accept owner surrenders nor do we pull from kill shelters. There seems to be plenty on the side of the road at this time.

Donations and volunteers are the heart and core of KRR and we could not function without the generous help from others. Please click on the PayPal link on the left to make donations toward our dogs' medical and housing needs. All support is greatly appreciated and needed. Financial information is posted on this site so you know where your donations are being used. We are willing at any time to provide you with information and to show that all funds are used for the animals in rescue.

Our Adoption Process...

You fill out an application at www.krrtx.org and we will call your references, vet and then be in touch to answer any questions you have about our dog.
We may be able to provide videos and more pictures. We will then move toward the steps of setting up the transport for Delivery!! Simple and Fast!! Adoptions in Danbury are $385 which covers the adoption fee, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and transportation fees.
