Introducing MAXINE, aka Maxi, a 2-3 year old, 24 pound mixed breed dog who looks like she could be a Belgian Malinois (Shepherd) mix.

This little sweetheart will steal your heart.  Initially shy when she meets you once you hold her in your arms she will always want to stay there. Maxi loves to run around the yard and play with her foster mom and the foster dogs, big or small. She is a very sweet and gentle little girl.  Maxi is a great little guard dog who will alert you when someone approaches the yard or home. She is completely housebroken and has been fine the 10-11 hours left alone and is also crate trained.  She does not like to be crated but will tolerate it. Maxi likes to stand on her two legs in order to lean on you and loves when you bend down to give her a hug and kiss.  She is a great dog and her foster mom and dogs love her very much.

Maxi was rescued by A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue when she was out of time at animal control in rural Illinois. Maxi was found running loose as a stray, along with another dog. She appears to have been running loose for a while because she has been initially afraid of most people. Maxine is going to need a special adopter who will give her the time to acclimate and adjust to their household/family, and the love and kindness she didn't receive prior to rescue.

This dog has been examined by a licensed veterinarian, tested for Heartworm Disease as well as tick-born diseases (negative), inoculated against Rabies, Distemper, and Kennel Cough, plus dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. ADOPTION APPLICATIONS are available for online completion and submission through our website's home page -

A Caring Place - All Breed Dog Rescue adopts throughout the Greater Chicagoland Area. All dogs and puppies live in foster homes, providing you as the adopter, with information on the animal's behaviors, needs, and requirements. We are always in search of fosters care providers. If you are one of those special people willing to open your heart and home to an animal in need and would like to receive information on how you can foster an animal, please contact us.

About A Caring Place - All-Breed Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

A Caring Place, is an All Breed Dog Rescue organization that is exclusively foster based (no facility) and is volunteer run. We rescue dogs and puppies from animal control facilities, dog pounds, and other shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia; each dog receives all medical care and treatment necessary to be healthy, and then place them into loving temporary homes (foster homes) until adopted. Without our foster care provider's, we could not save these dogs.

FOSTER CARE PROVIDERS are always needed!

Our Adoption Process...

Adult dogs are fully vetted at the time of adoption. That includes neuter/spay, inoculations against Rabies, Distemper, Bordatella, and Leptospirosis. In addition, the dogs have been wormed, tested for Heartworm Disease and placed on monthly preventative, plus microchipped. ADOPTION FEE: $300.*

Puppies are vaccinated with age appropriate inoculations, dewormed, neutered/spayed, and microchipped prior to adoption. Because puppies require multiple inoculations, the ADOPTION FEE is $350.*
