I'm a cute and spunky bunny of a dog. My life started out not so great. The local animal shelter had me and I was missing some fur, due to being found in an unhygienic situation. VOCAL saw past my imperfections and took me in. I was treated by a local vet and placed in a foster home. My foster mom took great care of me and nursed me back to health. I am all fixed up now (although my underbelly is very sensitive skinned), and have had all my shots and been neutered. I am house trained, crate trained, I know some basic commands and love car rides. I love to snuggle at bedtime and make a great personal heater. I walk well on harness, I tend to pull if just walked on a collar and hurt my neck due to my skin being pink. When I'm playing I hop like a bunny and take running leaps through the house. I am housed with cats and other dogs and am well socialized.

About VOCAL - Voices of Change Animal League, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We have seen the issues of pet overpopulation firsthand. Our board members, staff and volunteers have worked with local animal shelters and have seen the thousands of animals in Marion County that have nowhere to go, who are often abandoned and/or killed. We also recognize the strength of the human-animal bond and have witnessed the situations that animals often fall into during a family crisis. We have made it our mission to help these animals. We hope you will join us!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We don't have a shelter facility; all of our animals are in foster care. We think this is pretty great! Having adoptable animals in foster homes teaches them pet manners such as housebreaking and social skills. It also allows us to learn a lot about the animals and helps us determine the type of home the animal will be most successful in.

If you are wondering how to meet an animal you are interested in adopting, you have to fill out an application first. Then, if we feel you could be a fit, we set up a home visit and meet and greet with the animal.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption fee for both dogs and cats, an application, and a home visit. We end the process with our adoption contract.

If you are interested in applying for one of our animals, please visit our website www.vocalforpets.org. Our dog and cat applications can be found under the "Paperwork" heading or on the "Adopt" page.

We accept multiple applications on all of our animals; we believe in finding the best fit home. We don't place animals on a first come, first serve basis. Once we receive your application, we will reach out to you to review your application if we feel you could potentially provide the best fit home for the animal.
