TIGGER!'s Story...
MEET TIGGER!

This GORGEOUS Calico Tabby (Tabico?) girl is named Tigger! Tigger came to City of Elderly Love at the estimated age of 10 after being surrendered to Philly's animal control shelter because her family was moving and couldn't bring her along. Luckily, she landed a great foster home and is now ready to find her true forever home!

Tigger is a petite girl who weighs under 10 lbs. Her coat is absolutely stunning and her personality matches! She loves to meet her people and has met people of all ages. She sweet, affectionate and loves attention. She's also low-maintenece and can keep herself busy by lounging on the window sill or finest sun puddle she can find. Tigger is currently living with other cats and takes a little while to warm up to them. She'd likely do best in a home with other low-key cats who will give her the space she likes. She's also living with an easy-going dog and they pretty much ignore each other. She'd do well in a home with low-key dogs! This amazing little lady will make a great companion for one lucky family. Could it be yours?

Tigger is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated, and will be microchipped prior to going to her forever home! Interested in meeting her? Visit www.cityofelderlylove.org to complete an online adoption questionnaire or email us at info@cityofelderlylove.org!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TIGGER!, a Philadelphia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
