Hank's Story...
08-26-16 Hank is a happy go lucky beagle mix that was found trotting along the highway. He was healthy, but no owners could be found and he had no collar / tags.
We've taken him into the rescue and he's a great boy. Likes other dogs and seems to love all people. Weighs around 30 lbs and is 1-2 years old.
He's gotten vaccines, started on heartworm prevention and is getting neutered and microchipped.

Please go to our website and fill out an application
www.northmeckanimalrescue.org

Our adoption fee $195 includes spay/neuter, parvo/distemper series of shots, rabies if dog is old enough, bordatello, heartworm preventative while here, worming, and microchipping.

We appreciate your patience as our volunteer-only team reviews your application and updates our website.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hank, a Charlotte Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Labrador Retriever for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
