Kaki's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Kaki's Story...
Kaki was found on the side of the road with her littermates, who had all been run over by cars, in MS. Kaki's foot pads were all burned and she was in rough shape. We put Kaki in our jail dog program so that she would have round the clock care and she has just flourished! Kaki is a happy, well adjusted, social girl who loves to play with the other dogs in our program. She is now about 5 months old, weighs about 20 pounds and is such a sweetheart! Despite her rough beginning she is just a happy-go-lucky girl. Kaki is in foster care in West TN and will be transported once her adoption is finalized. If you'd like to add Kaki to your family, please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kaki, a Southington Dachshund/Italian Greyhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Italian Greyhound for sale in Southington, or seeking a Dachshund/Italian Greyhound puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Dachshund/Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
