Bethany's Story...
This little cutie was grabbed up at a rural high kill shelter when we heard there was overcrowding and they were going to randomly euthanize these poor babies. We were so happy to have Bethany join our little foster group because she is such a pleasure! Bethany appears to be about two years old and just loves everyone, other dogs and people alike. She weighs 11 lbs. No matter how many dogs we rescue, it is always so sad and shocking to find such a wonderful girl like Bethany just dumped in a shelter. We know that she will make a family very lucky to have her become the new member, could that be you? If you would like to bring Bethany home with you, the first step is to copy and paste and fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Vetting includes spay, shots and microchip. Full vetting and transport up north included in her $400 adoption fee. We cannot be certain what her true mix is.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bethany, a Westport Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Westport, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
