Our precious girl Sydney did not have a choice in homes for half of her life. She was stuck in places with anger and fear. And then, she was tossed out like garbage. On the streets, she wandered alone, hungry and scared in the darkness until the city shelter picked her up. As a black dog, and a senior, her chance of rescue was pretty darn slim. She is a Texas dog. Texas is overpopulated with dogs and hundreds of thousands die every year. But as fate would have it, the little black girl was given a glimmer of hope. A rescue lady did arrive, and walked out of that high kill shelter with Sydney. That was last year.
Sydney spent some time with a trainer to overcome some of her fear of abandonment. She is a true survivor! She absolutely loves people! Her forgiving heart has been filled with love and longing. Longing for a real home. Longing for comfort and compassion and security. Things she was not given in her early life.
We think Sydney is 8-9 years old. She is active, loves walks, playing with other dogs, and just chilling with someone she loves. She has had obedience training too. Her smile comes from her soul where love has overcome!
Sydney is great on a leash, totally house trained, and well mannered. She weighs 50 pounds. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations, and very healthy. Our girl has so much love to give and never had the opportunity to give it before!
