Melrose is a female Yorkshire Terrier/Poodle mix approximately 3 years old. She has a silky soft silver, tan, and cream coat that is gently wavy and non-shedding. She has been professionally groomed and currently has a shorter haircut. Melrose is a round, snuggly girl weighing 16 pounds full grown. She is super quiet, mellow, and eager to please those she knows. She has been mistreated in her previous life so she is shy and takes a bit of time to relax and warm up. Once she knows you are her friend, Melrose is sweetly affectionate and will silently follow you around the house, innocent and curious and wanting to keep you company. She will be a loyal and devoted dog to one or two people that she knows and trusts. Melrose enjoys a quieter surrounding and doesn't do well with busy households or lots of commotion. She wants to snuggle and feel safe in her home. Melrose loves treats and definitely one way to her heart is through tasty tidbits. She gets along with other small dogs and seems to like their company although we have not seen her play yet. Melrose will walk slowly on leash with a harness and will stay close to your side for comfort when in public. In crowded areas she prefers to be picked up or ride in a stroller. Melrose was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where she was brought in stray. She has been vet checked and is ready for her new forever home today!
Melrose’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.
