Thank you for your interest in our adoptable animals.  If you would like more information about this pet, see the Shelter information below.   We would love to help you rescue a perfect pet!

Marc is a handsome middle age pit mix boy of about 50 pounds. He came into the shelter as a stray. He sits calmly in his kennel and looks out, quizzically at the people that walk past. You can tell he waiting for someone. The someone he would like to see isn't coming though so we now begin a search to find him a person of his very own that will fill that void in his heart. I found out a few things about Marc while taking his pictures. First is that someone has taken time with him at some point in his life because he knows his commands. He's also very gentle when taking treats. This was a surprise to me as many of the young male pups are pretty serious about getting the treats I offer. Marc was calm and acted like he was purposefully trying to not get my fingers when taking the treats. After we shared some bonding over the treats he relaxed and leaned his whole body against me. He's a nice boy. He's a really nice boy. We spent some time in the barnyard  and he lit up like a Christmas tree! He would probably love a family that enjoys outdoor time and would be willing to share that time with him. I have watched him around other dogs and haven't seen any reaction that would make me think he doesn't like other dogs. If you are interested in this guy and have a resident pup at home please bring your dog along so we can make sure they will get along. You can meet Marc in the medium dog adoption room. You can also ask for him in the lobby by using his name and/or ID# 1607-1683 and we will be happy to bring him out to meet you and the family.
