Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Teddy and my Foster mom asked me to tell you a little about me. I’m an 8-year-old neutered male Yorkie mix. I weighed 10lbs on my last vet visit. I’m a compact guy 12”tall and 18” long (without my tail). I’m up to date on all my shots, I have a microchip and just had my teeth cleaned.. I do have a medical condition called Dry Eye and will need you to help by putting eye drops in my eyes 2-3x a day for the rest of my life. The eye drops are not expensive and they help me a lot.
Here are some of my qualities my foster mom says you’ll want to know:
1. I’m house trained, but because I was neutered late. I might mark the first day. I will listen if you say "no". I’ll be really happy if you have a back yard - just show me the door and I like being outside, too.
2. I really like going on walks, I walk 2 miles every morning with my foster brothers and mom. We take a short walk at night when she comes home from work, too.
3. I sometimes bark at other dogs on the walks, but I usually am ok with them when we get close. I’m not fond of dogs that are not neutered and might try to challenge them.
4. I like dogs my own size or a little bigger (small and medium size). I’m dog selective with larger breeds.
5. I know some basic commands and I’m working on new ones: I know "sit" really well, "stay" pretty well and I understand "No".
6. I like 99% of the people I meet and I’m OK around older kids (over 8 years old). I have not shown any attitude around younger kids and babies unless they are running at me.
7. I love to roll around in my bed but would prefer you give me good back and belly rubs. I’d really like to sleep in your bed with you like I do with my foster parents and some of my foster sisters and brothers but I’m not a snuggler. I sleep at the foot of the bed and I don’t move all night.
8. I like squeaky toys, beef tendons, duck feet to chew on. I have not played with or chased balls yet.
