Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tommy is a friendly, mellow kind of guy. He can be a bit dominant in his interactions with the other dogs but that may improve with guidance as he settles in to his new life.
Foster Home Update: Tommy is settling in with ease at his foster home, he is learning the ropes day by day on how to become a great family pet. He has no issues around pottying in the house aside from the first day, due to the excitement of being in a new environment. He has great manners around the house and settles down onto his bed either on his own or by verbal direction of "go lay down." Initially he demonstrated bed guarding by growling to the other pack members when he was laying on it but that has subsided, I believe with him becoming more relaxed with his environment. When he is outside or when he is moving throughout the home I have not seen him show any behaviors of dominance with the resident dogs, he seems to be pretty sweet and easygoing. I've seen him enjoying the yard and demonstrating the cute zoomies that greyhounds are typical of doing. He has had a few interactions with children from the ages of 3 - 12 and loves their company, he eagerly greets my niece and the other children with a happy tail, and tends to follow them around throughout the yard. He also has shown no signs of separation anxiety, I have not had to crate him he seems to do well with a bed to sleep on when no one is home. Also, he has done great around the small dogs here and cats. Tommy would be a great addition to a a variety of families, I believe he just needs consistency and a strong leader to help him feel secure and continue to grow into a loving family pet.
