You can't help but get lost in Bayou's sweet eyes and he can't help but stare into yours. If you give him a lap to sit in, he will hurry in for a snuggle session. Bayou will have your heart the minute you meet him, he sure has stolen ours. He is a young boy at only around a year old and was rescued from a shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding. We are very thankful we saved him because when we got him back to The Pet Rescue Center we noticed that he had a large burn like wound on his side that has been overlooked at the shelter. He is all fixed up now and feeling great so next step is for him to find his new family! Bayou would prefer a home with no small children as he is still learning to share his space and toys sometimes. Contact us if you would like to meet this perfect little gentleman.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia. The Pet Rescue Center is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
