Facts about LARK

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Lark was dumped outside; cared for by a kind lady who later passed away leaving a small group of cats in need. Lark was thought to be feral and given to a barn to be acclimated with the resident barn cats. However, it turned out this sweetheart was not feral and is overwhelmed with outside.
We determined she would not do well as an outside cat, much less as a country cat.

Lark is currently fostered in a home with other cats and dogs and doing extremely well with them. ARC describes her as a "neutral" cat; she befriends timid cats and cats that are typically pushy are very polite with her. Lark also doesn't get upset when the dogs check her out. And she has a very cute mewing call !! Estimated birthdate 3/17/14

She may be a bit startled by people at first so a house with less noise and racket would be great.
Lark is a love!

About Animal Resource Center

About Our Rescue Group...

ARC is a non-profit, no-kill pet adoption organization.
Our goal is to find caring forever homes for the animals, with an emphasis on owner education and pet behavioral support.
We believe that when owners understand a pet's behavior (evolutionary and history), they can then understand and are more likely to follow appropriate training and everyday care.

Our Adoption Process...

ARC requires an application which include a matching form so we can discuss with you the type of pet you want for your lifestyle and which pets would best be suited for your home.

We prefer that all family members come over to meet the pet so everyone is comfortable with their new family member and to answer any questions you might have. ARC provides free behavioral support for the lifetime of the adopted pet.

A contract and a $50 tax-deductible donation is required. If you cannot keep the pet, it must be returned to ARC, regardless of pet's age.

Pets are inside companion animals and cats that have claws may not be declawed.
