Murphy's Story...
Meet Murphy! Murphy is about 5 years old. He was adopted from Camp Companion in 2011 and surrendered to Paws and Claws for unknown reasons.

Murphy is very sweet and would love to find his new permanent home with a loving family. This is where this sweet boy likes to hang out. Right next to his human on a chair, sofa, or bed. He loves to be loved and would like to spend his days getting petted. He doesn't like to be picked up very much, so would probably do best in a home without small children. He gets along with mellow cats and dogs. He will sometimes carry on a conversation with his foster mom (don't judge). If you are looking for a lap cat and forever companion, Murphy is your boy!

All adoptable pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. For more information about adoption, please contact Camp Companion at 507-951-7801, www.campcompanion.org, or find us on Facebook!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy, a Rochester Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
