Timber's Story...

Meet Timber!
Timber is a young, 2-3yr Husky. He was recently treated for heartworm. Timber is very typical of the breed, he will require exercise and stimulus in order to run off his energy. He will require a 6' fence or someone who is willing to train him on an invisible fence system as he can jump 4' fences. He needs a home with no small animals, but he does fine with other dogs medium or large. He would be the best fit with a family that understands his breed.

Timber is:
Up-to-Date on Vaccines (Distemper, Bordatella and Rabies)
Receiving Flea Prevention
Neutered (scheduled for April 2017)

Adoption Fee: $250

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timber, a Oakland Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
