Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I'm Ginger, a beautiful girl that looks like a boxer-shepherd mix, looking for my forever home. I'm a fun and active girl about 8 months old, weighing in at 40-something pounds, just leaving my puppyhood, moving into adolescence, and learning my manners. I have so many other awesome qualities which include being potty-trained, sitting on command, and having a great temperament. I'm currently learning the "down" command and to walk better on leash and can't wait to go to obedience school with my new humans so I can add to my repertoire.
The neighborhood kids just love me! We play lots of ball. I think they want me to give the ball back but I enjoy having everyone run after me. Since I enjoy running, I will be a great jogging companion, ideal for an active family with young or older children. I live with two other dogs in my foster home and have no problems sharing my food bowl or toys. After play-time, I like to relax on a porch or couch for a nap. One of my favorite things is watching sports at the end of the day. (Go Cubs!) I like rawhides but I’m not a big chewer. I'm trained to stay in a crate when my foster family is not home, and currently they leave me up to 4 hours. I'm very social so probably would not like it if I was left alone much longer than that on a regular basis. I am an all-round playful dog who enjoys running, playing and kids. Since I also like to sniff out rabbits and squirrels, it would be best if my forever home had a fenced yard.
My adoption fee of $ 300 includes: vet exam, rabies, distemper combo & bordetella vaccinations, microchip, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm preventative and spaying.
