HOMER is a gorgeous, fluffy 6-year-old male kitty who is white with a brown tabby cap, cape, and tail. He is one of the most mellow, easy-going cats in the universe. He is friendly, polite, and loves attention. He does well with older kids and gentle younger children. Homer is afraid of dogs, but he has lived with another cat and could get along with an easy-going feline. Homer likes to follow his person around, sort of like a dog. He likes catnip mice and scratching posts, and is curious about the laser light. Homer was surrendered when his people moved out of state, and they decided not to take him along -- this sweet guy deserves a stable forever home where he won't be abandoned again. Homer has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for FELV/FIV, is microchipped, has been treated for fleas and worms and comes with a free vet visit. Homer’s adoption fee is just $75 (which helps us cover our costs). Homer is currently in foster care. Call Beth at 541.255.9296 for more information.

About West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
