My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dr. Weenus L. Wrinkle DWW! You can call him Dr. W for short! Dr. W is the resident cat in our shelter clinic and he has become a favorite staff mascot. This chill cat is completely unflappable! If you are looking for the most laid-back, easy-going feline on the planet, then this is the guy for you! Dr. W can usually be found supervising the clinic happenings from a comfy cushion on his cat tree. In the evenings, he sits in our veterinarian's lap while she types up her notes from the day. Dr. W has shown no fear or aggression towards any people or other animals. He is tolerant, affectionate, low-maintenance, and a great little buddy. His "elvis lip" gives him a distinct appearance but does not require any special care. However, he is a mature gentleman who will probably be on medication for arthritis for the rest of his life. He is compatible with kids and would be a wonderful addition to just about any household.

The Louisiana SPCA is located at 1700 Mardi Gras Blvd. in Algiers, LA.
Our adoption hours are Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday noon-4pm.
