Facts about Buford

  • Breed: Labrador Retriever/Beagle Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Buford was born in our rescue. His mama was pulled from a high-kill shelter two days prior to he and his 6 siblings being born. Buford was adopted with his littermate (Jax) when he was 12 weeks old. Now that they are about a year, they have begun fighting with each other. He did well with the other dog in his adoptive home. The adopters had to make a tough decision --- which of the two siblings to keep. Unfortunately for Buford, he is the one who was returned to our rescue.

Please help us find this boy another home! That was the only home he has ever known. He has adjusted to being back in the rescue and does very well in his foster home.

DOB: 9/10/2015
His mom is a beagle mix, but Bufford does not look anything like his mom and is quite a bit larger than her. We do not have any way of knowing the breed of his dad.

Buford weighs 65 pounds. He is much larger than his siblings. (Becca, Bosley, Bruiser and Boston are also available for adoption)

About Cherished K-9 All Breed Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Big or small we love them all!

Our mission is to rescue and re-home neglected, abused and abandoned dogs.

We are a small rescue that picks up dogs off the streets and helps them find their homes or helps them find new homes.

We also help find homes for dogs that have been relinquished by their owners. In addition, we pull last-chance dogs from our local animal shelter.

Our goal is to assist the rescue community in our area in decreasing the euthanasia rate at the shelter.

Our dogs live in foster homes while waiting to be adopted. Our fosters love and care for them as if they are their own dogs.

We cannot do what we do without your help! Foster, Adopt or Donate today!

If you are interested in fostering or adopting one of our dogs, please email us at CherishedK-9s@hotmail.com

Our Adoption Process...

After filling our our required Adoption Application, we will schedule a home visit. The home visit is to make sure our dog gets along with any existing pets in the home. We also check for obvious hazards and make sure the yard is secure.

If everything checks out OK, the next step is the Adoption Application, which finalizes the adoption. There is an adoption fee for each dog. (All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped.)

After the adoption is complete, there are follow-up wellness checks to make sure everything is working out for the adopters and the adopted dog.

At any time after the adoption is finalized, if the adopter decides to get rid of the dog, it must be returned to Cherished K-9 All Breed Rescue.
