Hello! My name is Oakland. I am a 4-year-old, male, American Bulldog mix. I am 67 pounds of awesomeness.

Super friendly. Goofy, Happy. Fun. Smart. Energetic. Playful. Loves people. Would be a great running, biking, or hiking partner. Handsome.

I love playing with toys. My favorite games are fetch and tug. I am great in the car and love going on rides and adventures to parks.

I am so much more relaxed outside of the shelter. I walk great on a harness and I also know how to Sit.

Selective with dogs, so if you have one bring him/her with you to see if they can be friends.

I would do best in a home without cats.

Our Adoption Process...

http://www.portsmouthhumanesociety.org/Adoptapet.html

Adoption Process:

1. Find an animal that you would like to adopt and spend time with them.
2. Fill out an adoption application.
3. If the animal you are interested in is not yet spayed or neutered, you can take them home as a Foster to Adopt and return on the scheduled surgery day. After surgery, the adoption will be finalized. Typically adoptions are same day transactions. We can place a hold on an animal for up to 24 hours.
5. A week after your adoption you will receive a follow-up email from the Adoption Manager to see how the animal has adjusted and to offer any assistance if needed.
