  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Buddy is not at the shelter but is listed as a courtesy to his owner who needs to rehome him.  Please contact Jill <> for more information.  Buddy is a 4 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Red Heeler.  He is very friendly & will stay with you wherever you go. He does not like men as much but will warm up to them. He likes to bark when he gets excited. I think he would be better off as an only dog, no cats or small children. He lives on a farm and does well with horses, cattle & chickens. He has a lot of energy and loves to fetch.

About Humane Society of Warren County

About Our Shelter...

The Humane Society of Warren County is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate care to abandoned, abused, homeless and neglected animals in our Warren County, VA. We are an open admission shelter and do not turn away any animal in need from within our county. We work very hard to find all the animals in our care wonderful homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The Humane Society of Warren County is located at 1245 Progress Dr. Front Royal, VA. We are open Thursday-Tuesday from 10:00-4:00 for adoptions. We are closed to the public on Wednesdays for deep cleaning.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application. We do our best to review applications within 24 hours. You will be notified when your application has been approved.
Our adoption fees are: $15 for cats plus the cost of spay/neuter, $30 for dogs over 5 months plus the cost of spay/neuter, and $130 for puppies 5 months and under (includes spay/neuter). All pets over 6 months old must be altered within 30 days of adoption as required by VA state law. Adopters outside our local and surrounding counties must have the animal altered before they may adopt. We will be happy to work with interested adopters to make that happen.
