Ruger's Story...
Hi, my name is Ruger, and I lived my whole life outside tied up on a chain while my owners will use me to breed, non stop. One day, they got tired of me and dropped me at the local kill shelter where I was rescued from. My rescuers are working with me to house train me, since I don't have any house manners because I was kept outside. However, please give me a chance to know me, you won't regret it, I'm friendly, sweet and very loyal. I love kids and get along with other dogs just fine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruger, a Williamsport American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Williamsport, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Williamsport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williamsport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williamsport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williamsport paves the way for another one to be saved.
