My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dear God,

I know you’re very busy with all of the important things you have to do. I don’t want to take up a lot of your time but I didn’t know where else to turn. My name is Charity and I am 3 years old. I have been in foster care since I was just a young pup. As a baby my human owners decided they didn’t want me and dropped me off at this place I had never seen before. It was very scary. I was little and I was surrounded by a lot of big dogs that were making a lot of noise. They were barking, growling, and pacing. They really frightened me but I’m sure they were just as frightened as I was. I learned later that some of these dogs never left that place. It makes me sad and I cry when I think about it. I was one of the lucky ones. There came a day when a lady came and took me out of that place and I went to live with this very nice lady that agreed to let me stay with her until they could find me a family of my own. She has been so good to me and I love her and I know she loves me too. We both knew this could not last forever. She is my safety net until I can have a family of my own and then she will turn around and do this all over again. She has a heart so big that she just wants to make sure no other doggies end up living their forevers in that scary place I once found myself in. The problem is that no one else seems to want me. I don’t know why. Is there something wrong with me? Am I not loveable? Was I a mistake God? I know you have a lot going on but I can’t do this without you. If you will send me a family I promise I will not make you regret it. I will be the best doggy ever. I will live each day asking what can I do to make my family happy and proud of me. I will share in their joy and comfort them when they are sad. I have great house manners and I do well with my crate. I love to go for walks and I get along well with other dogs close to my age. I do have a lot of energy so a home with older kids that would love to take me for walks, play ball with me or even snuggle up with me for a good movie on a rainy day would be a dream come true. I’m smart, athletic and I’m told that I’m super gorgeous….at least that’s what my foster mommy tells me. :) My favorite foods are hamburgers and Bruster's doggie ice cream. :) Lord, if you have a family for me please help them to find me. I’m here. I’m waiting. I still have faith. Thank you God for hearing my prayer.

Love,
Charity
