King's Story...
You might as well go now to and complete an adoption application for King. Our two-year-old Doxie Mix is searching for a new place to lay his crown and reign with a new family. Super sweet and great with other dogs, King will become such a special addition in your home, and we expect multiple applications. King is a playful guy with other dogs. Unfortunately, his former guardian could no longer care for our 18-pound guy. Even though we don't play favorites, our ITV kennel techs know how extra special King truly is and are cheering for him to bond with someone just as special as he is! King enjoys belly rubs and being loved on. He is crate and house trained- and enjoys being clipped on a leash for a nice walk. King is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Our sweet boy shouldn't spend another night in a shelter. King is so anxious to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

King, a Evansville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
