Phoebe's Story...
In September 2016, we welcomed Phoebe to the SVFA family. She was about 6 months old when she arrived and has grown into a beautiful adult. It's Phoebe's turn to find a forever home! She is 100% lap cat if you're looking for a companion for an elderly family member or young adult. Phoebe has a sweet personality and has never hissed or growled at her other dog and cat siblings. The one thing that Phoebe does that sets her apart from some other cats is that she will answer (meows) back to you when you speak to her. (Her meow is more like a squeak). Phoebe will need a few days to adjust to a new home, but should settle in nicely. Phoebe is microchipped, spayed and vaccinated. Call SVFA at 701-840-5047.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoebe, a Valley City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Valley City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Valley City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Valley City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Valley City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Valley City paves the way for another one to be saved.
