Hi folks! I am a sweet and petite 8 year old black lab looking for my forever home! My age hasn't slowed me down a bit, I'm active, loving and very well behaved!

Please apply to adopt here: http://www.caretx.org/adopt and CARE will be in touch with you ASAP!

This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The $650 adoption fee** covers spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chip and air transport. Please call CARE at (210)858-8422 or email adoptions@caretx.org

* CARE rescue is in San Antonio, TX where we have a serious pet overpopulation situation. CARE is a non profit 501c3 rescue that has been saving lives for over 6 years and with your adoption, we can help save even more deserving urgent adoptable pets! We fly our pets to approved adopters all over the US, especially in low kill and no kill markets where there is a demand for rescue pets!

About Cressie Animal Refuge and Enrichment (CARE) New York Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

We are committed to saving the lives of adoptable yet homeless dogs and puppies that are facing immediate euthanization at the city shelter in San Antonio, TX by providing transitional fostering and marketing to find them a permanent loving home.

Our Adoption Process...

Thanks for your interest in a wonderful rescue dog! Please find our adoption application here: www.caretx.org/forms/ and to be considered for adoption please fill out and return ASAP as that will give you priority to adopt in front of other interested people. The application is not a binding contract with CARE unless you are approved and you choose to adopt the pet after learning more about him/her. Send an email to adoptions@caretx.org or if you would rather talk first please call Peggy at (210)313-3600

This companion pet was saved from euthanasia by CARE in San Antonio, TX. Well over 300 adoptable dogs are euthanized every week here and even more die trying to survive on the streets. CARE has been trying to save these very adoptable dogs and pups over 6 years. We have flown over 325 wonderful dogs and puppies to approved adopters in the US and Canada in the last year.

Since you can’t meet the pet before adopting, we can send photos and video and put you in touch with the foster family so they can answer your questions. We work hard to match our adopters with the right dogs! Our success rate is 99%

The fee is $565 for a pet 30lbs and under and the price is based on weigh and crate size. This price includes the airline ticket, airline regulation crate, spay/ neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip and health certificate and adoption fee (tax deductible). We will send the adopter the medical paperwork. The adoption fee can be paid via paypal/ credit card here http://caretx.org/donate/ and then we can book the flight asap. *Price is based on the combined weight of the pet and the crate and increases if over 30 lbs with the ticket and crate price for bigger dogs.

We fly pets on a petsafe flight and have to ship in temperatures between 40 and 80 degrees. We have to book the flight 72 hours prior to departure due to weather regulations. I will notify you of pick up time and location. IMPORTANT: We need the name and address on the ID of the person picking THE PET up (for the airline). The pet’s health certificate, slip lead and medical papers will be attached to the crate.

The pet will be shipped in an Airline regulation crate that you will have purchased with your adoption fee.

Please let me know if you have any other questions and I look forward to hearing from you!
