Hi there! My name is KJ but I’m a girl! What’s your name? I’d love to get to know ya’, OK? You can learn all about me below.

Hey! Before you get too attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK?

I am a German Shepherd mix and I am 1 year old. I have the good luck charm of having one blue eye and one brown eye. Cool, huh? I weigh 49 pounds. I have all of my shots and I’ve been spayed. YIKES!

Wanna hear more good things about me? Well, here goes. I am good with older children and adults, both men and women. I know basic commands and I sit for treats and my dinner. I don’t even want to hog all of your time. I NEED another doggie in the house with me to be my pal and we’ll share you! I am a medium-energy doggie and maybe you already have another doggie like me! Pretty good so far, huh?

Can you stand hearing even more about me? I DO get scared when I hear very loud noises and thunder. That’s why I want another dog to help me feel safe. I feel safe even if we’re alone in the house. But, besides that, I love to go for walks. I love to play with toys and I love to play fetch! AND, you will be glad to know that I am fully house-trained! Are you ready to get me on the road to your house? Uh, again, let’s make that “our” house! OK?

I hope you will still love me but I have a scar on my left side. I hope you will still think I am beautiful.

If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $650 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)

About A Better Life - Vancouver

About Our Rescue Group...

We rescue dogs from the streets of Houston, TX, vet them, recuperate them from health problems, bring them to full health and then work very hard to get them adopted out-of-state AND in Canada. Houston, TX has over ONE MILLION stray dogs. Thousands of perfectly healthy dogs, along with sick and dying dogs that are picked up, are euthanized every single day. Houston, TX is saturated with dogs. Everyone who WANTS a dog HAS a dog. We can only save lives by getting dogs out of our region. We have found the very BEST adopters in Canada and in the Northeast and Northwest U. S.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is $650 to fly your dog to the nearest airport that (1) has a direct flight from Houston, TX and (2) can accommodate the size travel crate your dog would fly in. If there is no direct flight, then we do have to schedule flights with layovers. We only use United Airlines because of their PetSafe Program. They are the only airline equipped to fly dogs in year-round weather conditions. The dogs get the same air and heat as in the passenger cabin.
