Kaya's Story...
Kaya is a 2-3 year old, female, american bull dog. She is shy initially but once she warms up she is very affectionate with her people. Kaya has many quirks about her that in my opinion are adorable. She doesn't do well with most other dogs. Kaya loves to spend time lounging around with her people. She LOVES car rides and eating food. Kaya knows sit, down, and high five. She walks well on a leash, but if you give her an inch she will take a mile.
She would do best in a home where she is the only dog or there is a large submissive dog and her humans are strong leaders. She gets nervous around little kids she doesn't know. Kaya is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She recently completed heartworm treatment in June and currently on monthly prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kaya, a Manhattan American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Manhattan, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Manhattan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manhattan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manhattan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manhattan paves the way for another one to be saved.
