Max's Story...
Introducing Max! Max came to the rescue from the local shelter. He is a macho man in a pint sized body, with your typical pamper me Chihuahua attitude. Max likes to be doted on and likes to be carried around. He likes to run with the "big dogs" in his foster home, but due to his small size we are recommending a small dog household or a gentle large dog companion for him. He tends to get underfoot of the large dogs and his humans so we don't want him getting hurt. Also, Max gets along with kids, but again due to his fragile body we are recommending an older/respectful children household for him to ensure his safety. Max is extremely handsome and unique as you often don't see brindle Chihuahua's. Adopt this ham today!

My adoption fee is $100.00.

You can come visit me at our adoption events every Friday and Saturday from 1-7 pm at Petsmart at 3900 Sisk Rd, Modesto, CA 95356. To view our adoption procedures and to fill out an adoption application for me please visit our website at http://www.humanestanislaus.care/adoption. Once your adoption application has been approved we will set up a time to meet at Petsmart to finalize my adoption!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Modesto Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Modesto, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Modesto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Modesto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Modesto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Modesto paves the way for another one to be saved.
