Franny's Story...
Hi, I'm Franny! I'm a bit shy at first but once I get to know you it is obvious what a fun and quirky girl I am. I like long walks--even fast ones--but when I'm home I am very lazy. I love to lay around close to you. I don't like my kennel but that's okay because I can be just fine at home all day, even with my foster sisters who are both cats! I am 100% potty trained and I am also friendly with most other dogs (I do prefer calm dogs, though). I am very quiet, I like car rides, and I walk well on a leash. I am even no problem when I need a bath! My wish would be for a family who likes to hang out with me and cuddle, and maybe go for walks in the evening. They also must love scruffy pups, because I look adorably scruffy even right after a good brush.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Franny, a Houston German Wirehaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Wirehaired Pointer for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Wirehaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Wirehaired Pointer breeders who help with German Wirehaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
