Elvis's Story...
Well, since my family left me, I’ve found a new place to dwell. It’s down at the end of Lonely Street at Family Dogs Hotel. I am having lots of fun, since I love playing with all the other dogs here, but I get so lonely, baby, I really need a home. An active yet patient family, with respectful children, as I am a sensitive lad with plenty to learn…but once I’m feeling safe and secure, I just love to shake, rattle, and roll! I am a powerful boy who could use a little more training, lots of guidance, and the structure I’ve been missing out on. Good thing I’m so stinking smart—I’m even crate trained already, and I get along well with cats. I’m really just longing for the stability that’s so far eluded me. So if you’re looking for a hunka hunka burning love, come check me out. 1 year old-58lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes microchip& registration, neuter, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elvis, a Portland English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer for sale in Portland, or seeking a English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer breeders who help with English Pointer/German Shorthaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
