Charm is a playful and athletic girl who also likes to just sit and cuddle. She lives for her playtime with her fellow shelter dogs; she does prefer male playmates. In the play yard, Charm enjoys swimming in the doggie pools, playing fetch, and tug. Charm will do best with an active family willing to play and exercise her which is best done in a fenced yard. Charm knows a few basic dog commands and walks well on a leash. She has walked a 5K with her shelter buddy and did awesome!

Charm enjoys overnight stays with her shelter buddy and does very well in the house. She is both crate-trained and housebroken. She likes her doggie toys and will bring them to you one at a time to play with. Charm will adapt quickly to any household routine as she is incredibly smart. Charm is loving and friendly, a beauty inside and out. Please complete the adoption questionnaire and let's get this adoption started so Charm can go to her forever home!

Charm's adoption fee is $175; she is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Some of our pets are in foster care. If you are interested in a specific pet, please contact the shelter at (618) 939-7389 to arrange a meeting.

About Helping Strays of Monroe County

About Our Shelter...

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
